I was nervous about dress shopping and Hannah put me at ease from the moment I walked through the door. She looked after my mum and aunts on my first appointment, making sure they felt part of the excitement whilst also making sure I wasn’t getting overwhelmed. She has such an eye for detail and knew after me trying a few dresses what to pull off the rack for me to try - she’s a dress genius! Just before my second appointment I broke my leg and Hannah somehow managed to make my appointment work. My best friends had flown from Ireland and the US to come so rescheduling wasn’t an option! I had the best experience choosing my dress at Bride by Aster in Dorking and I can say that Hannah is just absolutely wonderful!! I went to an appointment by myself as I chose a last minute slot a few days before, so I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and in a way sad as I hadn’t brought anyone with me to have the full experience. So I asked Hannah if she wouldn’t mind if I FaceTimed my mum who lives abroad and doesn’t speak English, and if I could just leave the phone on the side while I was trying the dresses so my mum could see them too. To my delight, Hannah speaks Spanish and was able to speak with my mum during the appointment which made it SO special as this meant that my mum could take part in the appointment too and I didn’t feel like I was just by myself. I cannot thank Hannah enough for this! Hannah and her team went above and beyond and were very patient with me (and with my mum on FaceTime) made me feel so comfortable and showed me the most beautiful dresses that were within my budget and style. We visited the shop yesterday afternoon with my niece the future bride. We received an instant welcome and after popping our shoes off we were seated and asked if we wanted a drink. We all chose elderflower water which arrived with a small pot of sweets each ( very nice touch). After a quick chat we all were able to choose some dresses and my niece was taken to the fitting room. She was delighted that she managed to try them all on with no pressure and even managed to try on her favourite one again at the end. At the end we left to go for dinner and compare everything she had tried on. I’m waiting to see which one she will eventually choose. When it was time to go dress shopping I knew I had to visit her gorgeous bridal boutique in Dorking. The experience truly is so special - from the entire shop to yourself for two hours and the teams undivided attention, the leopard print fluffy slippers, then peg system to select dresses you wanted to try (and there was lots!), it was everything a bride could hope for. I found my perfect dress at Brides by Aster in Dorking! The ladies made the whole experience very special and really looked after me. I had the most amazing wedding dress appointment at Bride by Aster! This was my 5th wedding dress appointment and by far the best. Hannah and Tania made my mum, my sister and I feel so relaxed and at home as soon as we got there. We were given comfy slippers, a blanket and provided with tea and sweets. I got to select the dresses I wanted to try and I didn't feel rushed at all like I did in other appointments. Hannah and Tania were on hand to offer their expert advice but encouraged me to be descriptive about aspects I did and didn't like about each dress. I was then given a break and a dressing gown to wear whilst I looked through photos and videos and chose my favourite 2 dresses to try on again. I ended up choosing my wedding dress which was so exciting and I just felt so supported and comfortable during the whole process.
