So you said yes to your dress! What’s next?
Hannah and her team will be putting your measurements up against the designers size chart. This will tell them the correct size to order for your gorgeous body. We will always order as close to your body size as possible but you will need some alterations - the second and most important step!
If you would like extra fabric to customise your dress, this will be ordered in and charged at your collection appointment. You would then take this to your chosen seamstress for them to work their magic.
When your dress is ready for collection, you will be contacted by a member of the team and can get yourself booked in for a collection appointment using the booking system here.
You will try your dress on at the boutique with the team, look at our fabulous collection of accessories and make sure you’re happy!
The balance is paid at this appointment along with any optional extras and your dress goes home with you until your first appointment with your seamstress!
The next and most important step is to book in your chosen seamstress.
This should be done as far in advance as possible to ensure they can accomodate you. We recommend booking as soon as you have ordered your dress.
Our seamstresses are worth their weight in gold and are generally booked up 9 months in advance (particularly during the summer months).
Delaying this process means that your first choice may be unavailable and you will have to travel further afield for your alterations.
Remember, having your dress tailored for your body is an integral part of the process of having a dress custom made. First it is crafted and then it is fitted by a professional.
Your alterations will normally start a few months before your wedding, although some of our seamstresses may offer to see you earlier in the quieter months allowing a stress free process.
