It’s no secret that I am a fan of a destination wedding. Above is a picture of my husband and I, back in 2014 at our wedding in South Africa - it was the best day of our entire lives (I’m confidently speaking on his behalf)! We were married barefoot on the beach and then went inland to a private game reserve called Rain Farm, for our micro wedding reception.
When searching for my dress, I must admit I didn’t think about the practicality of getting it half way across the planet. Luckily and rather conveniently, I found a dress that was hugely conducive to transport, as it was made of chiffon. Light, floaty, no creases - perfect!

Arguably my favourite destination wedding dress in store, Baxter takes first place on this post. I do have a real soft spot for this stunning chiffon gown as she is just so utterly unique. I love the softly squared neckline, I love the extreme low back and I simply ADORE the double leg split detail, filled with shimmering lace fabric. This lace is matched in the train too, with panels of water like lace design, shimmering down the skirt. Baxter by Modeca is beachy, romantic, feminine and utterly striking. The heavily pleated chiffon adds so much movement to the skirt and it has a comfortable weight - the sort of weight when you wear a dress and think ‘mmm, this skirt has got a nice weight to it’ haha! I can’t explain more than that, but I know that you understand!
